It’s About Love

I saw this sign in several different spots along our march around downtown Los Angeles in November. l loved it because that is what we were all marching for; love – the right to love and be loved by whomever we wish. Many of the protesters’ signs spoke about love. Astounding to me that we have to fight for the right to love. WTF?

I just wish it were true. When I first saw that sign, I thought, ‘what a dreamer that guy is’. But I like dreamers. By the last time I saw it, I was loving that guy.

And you know, maybe I do believe it; maybe it is true. Love doesn’t conquer all. But it never fails. Love uplifts us, sustains us, gives us hope. We need it.
