Diamond Trees

Published March 4, 2009

I watched the early morning light break over the ridge behind Half Dome.  The snow clad trees were like diamonds glistening in the crisp air.  There is nothing like this view of Yosemite Valley from Tunnel View, and seeing it first thing in the morning before most of the world is stirring always make my heart beat faster.

Last week I posted this quote by Oscar Wilde:

“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” – Oscar Wilde

Sometimes it’s hell being up at 4am, but what I would really have to change that to is this:

“A dreamer is one who can only find her way by moonlight, and her REWARD is that she sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”
