Spring in the Gorman Hills, #07

Most people are familiar with the golden-brown rolling hills we have here in much of California.  But not as many people get to see these same hills in their spring colors.  For all too few weeks in early spring the hills come alive with color, and some years in some places we get lots of wildflowers mixed in with the green.

The green seems to be rather short-lived the last few years, but it’s still glorious while it lasts.

These are the hills up around Gorman, just north of Los Angeles — reached via The Grapevine, I5.
